Lux Orion is a trans queer visual artist from Kent, England.

His artistic practice explores the intertwining links of identity and self, connections to the local landscape and the past, and intense emotions tied to reality vs escape. They reflect upon their own experiences through artistic exploration to better understand himself and his existence in relation to the world around them.

Their work draws inspiration from the local North Kent landscapes and natural world; British folklore and folk customs; portraiture and self expression; gender and transsexuality; memory and fears. Further influences are found in found objects and recycled materials, medieval woodcuts, and trips to Kent beaches and marshes.

Lux Orion works as an interdisciplinary artist to combine a variety of techniques and mediums, demonstrating the personal stories and emotions examined in their pieces and materiality.

His studio is based at Nucleus Arts Centre in Chatham, Kent.
